Can the pewter charms be engraved?

Yes, the charms are made of pewter and can be engraved on the back. Please refer to the size dimensions in the charm product descriptions, as some of the charms are smaller and will not accomodate text. We do not offer engraving at this time - but your local jeweler or engraver should be able to provide that service for you.

How do I care for pewter ?

Pewter is a durable metal that does not require much care. However, with everyday use, you may want to polish or clean occasionally. The charms can be cleaned and polished with a soft jewelry cloth or any metal polish or paste that is made for pewter . You may also wash in a mild soap and water and polish dry with a soft cloth.

I like a charm, but want it to say something different?

"I like the princess charm but want it to say prince instead?"

Our current charm selections can be found online, if you have something you would like to see, we will consider it as we make new charms and items. Email us with your suggestions for consideration.

Do you make custom charms ?

Yes, we can create custom collar charms or pet jewelry. Custom charms have a minimum quantity of 150 pieces per design. Email us with detailed information for a quote.

Do you drop ship?

We do not drop ship, however, wholesale information can be found here if you would like to carry our products.

Are your products made in the USA?

Yes, our pewter charms, keychains, magnets, earrings and pet jewelry are made locally in the USA. Big Paw Designs designs and manufactured locally in Texas.

How do I measure my pet for a pearl pet necklace?

We recommend adding 1 to 1 1/2" to your pet's neck size. We do not recommend for long haired pets.

What are your collar charms made out of?

Our collar charms, keychains and pewter magnets are handcrafted with lead-free fine pewter in the USA.

Is there a store in my city where I can buy Big Paw charms?

We insure our shipments, please fill out the following damage form and fax it to us at 888-506-1409 or scan it in and email it to us at info@bigpawdesigns.com. Upon review, we will file a claim and ship a new item to you.

Tell me more about our Pewter Collar Charms

Our pewter charms are lead free & Made in the USA. Charms are substantial and popular with all pets. Keep in mind, while durable, pewter will soften with time. We cannot guarantee against aggressive chewers. They come with a sturdy ring attachment that fits any collar. Our collar charms are a fun, whimsical addition to your pet's collar and are not meant to replace the pet's ID tag. Charms are original designs and copyrighted. Check the back for our trademark and stamp.

Do you offer different Charm attachments?

We recommend the standard ring attachment as the sturdiest, especially for active or larger animals. Clip options are available for an extra charge and are special order. While some clients prefer a clip for attachment,we recommend the ring for larger or rougher animals. The sterling clip option clips on smaller collars - but can be attached to any collar on the tag ring.

Tell me more about your Pearl Collars

Our pet necklaces are popular with smaller dogs and cats. Swarovski crystal pearls are lead free crystal; resistant to wear, sun, water, scratches and weighted to feel like real pearls. The pearl collars are accented with colorful crystals &/or charms. These are not intended for use with a leash or serve as a standard collar. Strung on sturdy coated wire, these necklace collars have a safety magnetic closure that will break away in a precarious situation - but are strong and will stay on the pet. While the pearls & crystals are the finest imported Swarovski crystal, these necklaces are assembled in the USA. Pearls are original designs and copyrighted.
